Valentines Edition Glossy Box
As I previously said, I've made the big switch from Boudoir Prive/Joliebox to Glossy Box. This was mainly due to me being jealous of all the products in the Glossy Box and being underwhelmed by my own Joliebox.
Low and Behold they do not dissapoint!
1, Eyeko - Skinny eyeliner
I received the pink one which I'm so pleased about as in the depths of winter I'm addicted to highlighters to make my face resemble something more alive. The pink is lovely in the corner of the eyes to brighten
2, Davines - Moisturising Balm
This is for hair/face/body and you whack it on then wash it off, personally i think its best on the hair.
3, Davines - Cleansing Nectar
Not too sure about this one as its a "hair and body oil shampoo" and I prefer products that are specifically for one or the other, I think its just a glorified body wash.
4, FAB - Gentle Body Wash
This is for sensitive skin and since i don't suffer from sensitive skin I can't judge the benefits but It left my skin rather fresher.
5, MURAD - Hybrids Skin Perfecting Primer- Dewy Finish
I always forget about a primer because I don't wear foundation, only foundation powder, but this has made such a difference to my skin, and the finish and set of my powder, my skin has much more of a glow than usual.

Home Times
Tom and I went home to my house in Hampshire for a few days inbetween exams, spent most of it either on long country walks, or drinking and playing scrabble at the pub with my dad and grandpa. As you can see we play for points as opposed to literary excellence.
I love Home times...

Well hello there Weekend
We had some lovely yellow roses in the flat last week and it seemed a shame to throw them out, so now they are dried and hanging above my bed.
Merry WEEKEND !

Boudoir Prive: December
I've been using the service Boudoir Prive since september and this was my first venture into the monthly beauty sample world. As someone who changes make-up/skincare products based on friends recommendations this was a novelty to test the products myself. I don't wear incredible amounts of make-up and I'm terrible at having a decent skin care routine, but thanks to the supply of face creams i've been converted to the cause of hydrated skin.
Boudoir Prive have now joined with the french brand Joliebox, and due to the fact that they appear to have cancelled my subscription in the change-over I've decided to switch over to Glossy Box which everyone raves about, seems to have bigger sample sizes and a wider array of brands to sample.
The December Boudoir Prive box contained:
-OPI - Gold Shatter Nail Lacquer - Loved this, similar to Barry M shatter nailvarnishes but more subtle.
Mitchell and Peach - Shower Wash - Not my favourite parfum body wash but still a nice change.
New CID Cosmetics- i-gloss - Not only did I not like the bubblegum colour or stickiness it comes with a built in light in the lipgloss which personally I thought was tacky.
Jane Iredale- 24 Karat Gold dust - I recieved the pinky gold version and i love it, its subtle enough to wear in the day but a bit more special than your average day pink eyeshadow/
Yon-Ka - Vital Defence - An anti-oxidant/ anti-pollution face cream and it's bloody brilliant!! I wish I had ridiculous amounts of money to buy it everymonth but alas my student loan doesn't stretch that far.
Joliebox - Concealer brush - I've used it as an eyeshadow brush for the pink/gold dust, fab cheeky treat
Kusmi - Detoz tea - Still deluding myself that I don't need to detox so haven't tried out this added bonus just yet.

Girl Crush of the Month ....... Karlie Kloss
Just when I thought i'd never get over Abbey-Lee, along came Karlie. I've always admired this model but in the past year she hasn't stopped looking incredible! I love that she's the newest V.S angel she was fantastic, but mainly i love her off duty casual, very elegant but quite dressed down. BEST LEGS EVER!

Rapunzel Rapunzel let down your plait?
I love PLAITS, and I truly mean that, not the 6 year old playground plaits that stick out either side of your head from above your ears, but dishevelled, bo-ho, ethereal kinds of plaits. I find that especially in the winter the combined joys of lack of sun-bleached highlights and central heating frizz hair, plaits come in very useful for that quick, "I Just jumped out of bed and look fabulous" kind of look.... enjoy

New Year, New Start
As it's a brand new year, I can't help but reminisce about the previous one, or more accurately long for sunshine and to be outdoors, i miss being able to throw on a maxi dress (see above) and head into the sunshine with just a cheeky tan for company.
My New years resolution is to be more proactive, and that includes this blog. My worst fault is that I'm the laziest person in the world, "why do something now when you can put it off indefinitely and watch sex and the city instead?" But from now on I'm not leaving the house without my camera and I'm going to actually upload things!!
But until that point last summers snaps will have to do....
